Lexus CT (2011 - 2020) 200h 1.8 Advance (14-) 5d CVT Auto Owner Review

200h 1.8 Advance (14-) 5d CVT Auto

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

If you’re looking for an ultra reliable superbly built and frugal hatchback with fantastic dealers then this is it. Get to know the cvt transmission and hybrid combination and it can be fun, as it handles very well. Not a car for long journeys with taller adults in the back as limited legroom. Excellent however for tall drivers (I’m 6’5’). People call it a Prius in Lexus clothes, but it’s better than that. Fuel economy consistent 50+ mpg in mixed driving, but down to 45+ in the coldest months. Best economy achieved 58mpg on A roads in summer. Urban mpg over 50 as ev mode takes over as long as you’re gentle with the acceleration.

How reliable do you find the car?

Both front tyre pressure sensors replaced. Possibly due to pothole shock, but still irritating.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Expected it to be easy to drive, reliable and economical. It’s actually been more fun to drive than I thought thanks to using the cvt and hybrid power intelligently. A bonus is excellent resale value and the 10 year extended lexus warranty (cause and effect).
