Lexus CT (2011 - 2020) 200h 1.8 SE-L 5d CVT Auto Owner Review

200h 1.8 SE-L 5d CVT Auto

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Wife bought new in 2011 and at the time I was totally against it. Especially for the money. However the car has won me over. Really reliable, cheap to run, great 'around town', beautiful interior. Not as good as my Audi A4 on the motorways but if you manly drive around town it will be brilliant, 50mpg, zero road tax too. Yes it's a little noisy on the motorway but newer models (post 2014) seem quieter than our 2011. Only buy one which have been serviced at Lexus main agent. Flat floor in the rear so plenty of room for the kids. Great Lexus loyalty to its customers. Would I buy another except for one problem, ours just keeps on going so no reason to change it!! We've noted the new LBX model planned for 2024 release, and we will buy one!

How reliable do you find the car?

Absolutely rock solid. We've owned the car for 12 years and the car has always been serviced with Lexus, and at around 70k the steering rack had a problem so Lexus said it can't pass the MOT. It was a major part of the car, beyond wear/tear and £1000+ fix, so we felt it was unfair for such a reliable brand. We were out of warranty but rang Lexus UK, who changed the part for free, FANTASTIC.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Yes, absolutely bullet proof. Great small family car with fantastic long term reliability, room and great economy. You'll end up keeping the car for 10years!
