Other Lexus IS (2005 - 2012) models:

  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

I used to own a 2008 M3. A brilliant car, but it spent more time in the dealers workshop than it did on the road. I didn't want to repeat that experience. The ISF is a much better every day car, and purchasing one shows that I couldn't care less what others say.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Very impressed. The car looks much better in the metal than it does in photos. Nobody can believe how sedately it drives around town, how quiet it is, and how quickly it can transform into howling super car on open roads.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, waiting to see whether Lexus introduce a V8 hybrid version. That will be something else!!

What are you likely to buy next?

    Next Generation ISF

Exscellent deal. The car was only 5 months old, and was £23k less than new price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Much better equipped than M3 and Mercedes, and much cheaper to buy

Very good, nothing was too much trouble

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Superb. Take no notice of Jeremy Clarkson, the gearbox is brilliant, and the ride quality is good, and certainly no worse than other performance cars. Most of the negative comments seem to come from BMW M3 owners. I wonder why!

    What's it like to park?

Easy. Car has front & rear sensors and a reversing camera.
