Lexus IS F (2008 - 2012) 5.0 V8 IS F 4d Auto Owner Review

Recently bought a used IS-F after a lot of research. I was looking for a fast V8 saloon as a daily driver, family car and looked at the usual suspects, namely the M3, C63 as XF-R. It soon became apparent from reading forums that the BMW and Mercedes can be very expensive to maintain with quite a few reported issues, however I found it very difficult to find any major issues with the IS-F, with owners reporting very few problems in general and a few cars out there with 200k+ miles still going strong. I wanted a later model with the LSD and updated sat nav and was fortunate to find a rare 2011 model, it's a cracking car, relaxing to drive but very fast when you want it to be, it's very refined with a nice solid luxury feel but once you get to 4k RPM it turns into a bellowing muscle car. Lexus dealers can be expensive but service so far has been great. I love the understated looks, it doesn't attract negative attention and I love the fact it such a rare car in the UK with only approx 220 cars registered. It feels like a special car and I'm very satisfied with my purchase so far.
