Maserati Levant 2016-

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I was in the market for a largish SUV with a good turn of speed and dollops of flair. I tried offerings from Jaguar, Range Rover, Audi, Volvo and Maserati. Weirdly, I seem to have forgotten Porsche, but that might be because I wasn't enamoured with their looks. All the cars I drove were exquisitely engineered and served up lots of fun but, at the end of the day, the only ones that really stoked my passion were the two Levantes I tested. In the end, I was persuaded to shell out the extra cash for the three litre, twin turbo, Ferrari built, petrol engined car, rather than the diesel, by the superb acceleration and the addictive, iconic, engine note. It's early days yet in the ownership experience, but I'm loving it. Hang the petrol bill, there are no pockets in a shroud and no tow bars on hearses! And before you ask, I did specify my Maserati with a factory fitted hitch.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Lack of a head up display is the only significant design failing. The factory fitted the wrong colour wheels but the dealer is working to rectify this.
