In their own words

Bought this car for my mum a few years ago to use to go shopping in, she had it 3 years and absolutely loved it, she couldn't bare to see it be scrapped or abused so I took it on, and im so glad i did. The 1.8 engine is great, very eager and its begging to be driven hard, it handles so well for this type of car. Cruising on the motorway is fine, helped with the relatively large engine in a small car, it is so easy to drive, anyone could get in it and drive off with no problem. Its great in the city, and the low biting point of the clutch helps a lot it also consistently brings a smile to my face on country roads. Its well equipped (A/C, Elec sunroof, trip computer) has a high level of safety equipment for the time (4x air bags, ABS, traction control) and its comfy, roomy and practical. Mechanically it has been sound, nothing but a yearly service and has sailed through every mot. Only issue to report is rust, it will need a tickle with a welder for the next MOT, but thats it, and it is a 21 year old car now! I recommend any one buy a 323, and if you can find a 1.8 in decent condition, snap their hand off!
