Economy
Value
You only have to look at the competition - it simply wipes the floor on this front compared with the 'girls' world' Audi TT and BMW equivalents.
Costs
The fuel consumption really isn't good - I am getting about 22mpg (but I am really driving it for all it's worth!) :o) The oil needs checking at every second or third fuellling, and i have topped the oil up once already (have owned it for 2 months).

Absolutely brilliant! This is a real 'drivers' car', poised, positive and giving full on thrills!
Performance
What can I say - precise handling, fabulous acceleration, and the rotary engine sounds great too!

Reliability
Can't complain so far - but what would you expect after such a short time. Mind you, Mazda have been voted most reliable manufactuerer for the last 6 years by one auto review body or another!

Comfort
The best sports car I have had the pleasure of travelling in (BMW Audi, Merc all pale into insignificance) - the seats, especially, are roomy, supportive(my husband is 6' 5"and I am 5' 4"" and we are both supremely comfortable)and the cabin is great too.

Security
I can only go on the manufacturer's word here, but recently a neighour's BMW Z4 was 'attacked', whilst my Rex was untouched - obviously a wolf in sheep's clothing and passes uncensored by druken yobs!
Service
The garage I bought from, could have done better. The RX8 is dfficult to come by, and they knew it. A shame, as it spoiled what should have been a 100% positive experience.
