Mercedes-Benz A-Class Hatchback A 180 SE 7G-DCT auto 5d Owner Review

The handbook is a nightmare. It describes every function available on the top of the range model, whereas I bought at the entry level. The handover was particularly poor from the dealership and due to the difficulties in coping with COVID 19 I have had a real struggle. Little support from the dealership ever since I have had the vehicle. But at every step when I found out how each function worked, I have been amazed and delighted, but it’s all been down to me to find out for myself. The ride is top quality with body hugging comfortable seats and a smooth ride. Steering is very direct and the car rides over broken and potholed roads with hardly a murmur. Economy at an average of 44 mpg is better than I had expected. For me as a non techy driver I am delighted with the car. It may be the entry level Mercedes A class but the interior has the look of something far more expensive. Niggles, yes there is one which really bugs me, no electric folding wing mirrors. I get in the car, set the sat nav, put my seat belt on and then realise I have still not unfolded the wing mirrors after getting it out of the garage. Would I buy another.......you bet, but from a different dealer!
