In their own words

First step into EV world and not disappointed. GLA250e is effortless to drive switching seamlessly between electric and petrol propulsion in a most intelligent manner. Plus gearbox changes are undetectable. Local journeys are all done in electric only mode and on longer journeys it maximises the use of electric drive to match the journey by way of the sat nav. Very clever. On an 80 mile trip I get 40 mile on electric - that's why the MPG is so good! The ride is good and it is very comfortable too. But beware on cold days as there is no petrol engine initially, so the heating is slow to warm up the cabin as it uses the electric in the main battery rather than the usual hot water heater matrix. To offset this you can utilise the "pre-entry" heater option (using battery power and taking from range), and of course the heated seats. Overall I cannot give it 5 stars as its not the best car I have owned as I have driven more sportier vehicles in the past. But other than that qualification it is the best I have owned. It is just a very pleasant way to travel.
