Value
Also great, purchased off ebay for ridiculously little money, stuck a private plate on it and it couls pass for a 2001 very easily (it's a 97 R)

VVC not significantly more to run than 1.8, although thirsty above 3500 rpm

Fantastic fun. VVC worth the extra, have had basic 1.8 before and it doesn't compare, although still a nice motor
Performance
Excellent, very quick and stable.

As reliable as my old Golf so far, which was unshakeable

One round every corner, but cheap fun, get one in right colour and can look great. Good fun E.S.P. in summer. Hard top worth the money in winter.

Much better wirth full leather, feels like a little XK8

Ok so far, alarm/ imb as standard

Good, but body panels are only available from MG dealership as Rover have not as yet released the blueprint for the panels to be copied, hence they are expensive.
