In their own words

I bought my MG HS as I wanted something different, I’d always had manual hatchbacks or saloons but fancied something different, I bought the Exclusive Auto and like other reviews have said it does have its quirks.
The infotainment screen does freeze every so often and then reboots itself but I wouldn’t say it’s been that much of an issue for me personally, it’s only happened a couple of times and it’s fixed itself after a minute.
The auto high beam I find is hit and miss, iv used it in rural areas where it’s worked great for a long journey but other times I found it to be annoying.
One time I was exiting a motorway behind another car around a slight bend and it decided to go high beam and then off again even though it wasn’t that dark, it looked like I was flashing the guy in front.
Iv had cars in the past with this feature and had no issues like this, I find it best to keep it turned off in the settings unless I’m driving rurally where there’s no other light source to confuse it.
The electric tailgate also has a fault and has stopped working, which means opening the boot manually but because of the gas struts for the electric opening it means the boot is quite heavy and difficult to open. It’s being fixed under warranty and iv also been given a free courtesy car at my MG dealer so not too bothered.

Apart from that iv had no issues, it drives fine, it’s comfortable, relaxing to drive with the ACC and Traffic jam assist on motorways, nice big sun roof in summer, heated seats in winter.
I found performance not bad either if you use sport and the steering wheel paddles it can be quite quick for a big car.
The only thing that I would say beware of is the MPG, it’s ok on a long motorway run, you can get 40mpg out of it at a steady 70mph but in stop start and around town it can be a bit thirsty, I usually get around 32-34mpg which isn’t great and although it has an eco driving setting I just find it too annoying to use, it just dulls throttle response way too much and you end up either crawling away from the lights or having to be heavy footed to get up to speed.
