    Re-living my youth!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They know I like tinkering with cars and am not afraid to get stuck in if necessary.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, Id own a few of them as they are great little runabouts.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £150,000

When did you buy the car?

    August 2015

Did you get a good deal and why?

I paid peanuts for a 14 year old car that originally cost £20k and was top of the range in its time. I brought it with loose-change, compared with what I paid for my Range Rover Sport 2 years ago.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted a 2nd car to use for non-league football matches and i wanted a toy to play with. I'm an engineer, so working on cars interests me.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Handles well- as light car and electric power steering. Doesn't like bumpy roads and potholes/speed humps- care needs to be taken negotiating as the cars are low.

    What's it like to park?

Easier with the roof down during the summer. Not so good with the sort-top up. a bit better with a hard-top fitted (essential during the winter).

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only an exhaust system and general tinkering to get everything working the way i wanted it. Buying an old car with 4 prervious owners generally means that attention to maintenance items deteriorates proportionally with time. a new car requires NO maintenance- or so a new-car owner thinks. After 3 years they start to sow wear and 'having me car serviced, john' generally doesn't maintain it- just deals with fluids and bare legalities. once a car is 6 years old- then its likely to show usage and maintenance IS required.

What's most practical about your car?

Easy to park, small to get through gaps- 2 seater means you don't have to take unnecessary baggage . Its ME time!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Open road- For sure! These cars are rev little beasts and a pleasure to drive when they are well-maintained.
