  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

Really don't care what it says about me, it's a fun car to drive and that's what matters.

Other half hates it, my mates like it.

Yes I would buy another Colt but not this model as I already have it......

What are you likely to buy next?

Another small hatchback, I plan to keep this for a few years so who knows what will be about then.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Fun - when the turbo kicks you hear the whoosh, its quite loud and makes people turn round expecting to see some rally car. Handling's not perfect, traction control has come on a couple of times around corners when pushed.

    What's it like to park?

Electric wing mirrors make life a bit easier to park by a kerb - not the greatest rear view but in time I'm sure I will get use to it.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nope, had a service and it needed brake pads but apart from that it's done well so far.

What's most practical about your car?

That the turbo doesn't kick in till 2,500rpm meaning if you stay under you're driving a standard 1.5 engine sized car which keeps running costs down, just good to know the speed is there when you require with a drop of the gear. To give you an idea my usual run to work for a week in my Fiesta ST would use half a tank but the Colt uses less than a quarter.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Eco drive is ok - tells you when to shift up and it can tell the difference town accelerating and motorway driving.
