What does this car say about you?
Confidence - knowing that your budget car will start at the first turn of a key in the winter mornings is a great confidence booster!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I have yet to meet anyone, who doesn't admire my car. Although i have the 1.4si version, I have had the car look identical to the GTI. It is a lovely shade of blue which looks like a new car. ( the paint work has stuck it out greatly )
Would you buy this car again and why?
Most definately, but I would aim for a newer model , as this version is getting a little dated with high miles!
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Japenese car. Hopefully, another Nissan or Toyota.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I was lucky when I purchased this car. The person who had just traded the car in for a new car , told me how much the dealer allowed him for the trade-in ( in front of the dealer ) , and as the dealer had not even washed the car , I got it for £100 more than the trade in value!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I Purchased this car as I liked the looks, and the colour was unique.
What was the dealer like?
Dealer wasn't over the moon that he had to part with the car with a smaller profit than that if he had cleaned it up, etc., but , it was still an easy £100 for him!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Driving position is fine, but not overly comfortable. The steering is great though, for a car of it's size and bulk. The gear changing is 'crisp' and the the acceleration does not leave you sweating at round-a-bouts! A nice ride.
What's it like to park?
With good, precise power steering, and good visual , parking is easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
When I purchased the car in Feb 2005 , I renewed the timing belt & oil filter, not that they needed replacing , but just to be on the safe side. the only thing that has gone wrong with the car since then, is the fact that a red flashing air-bag light has come on in the dash board for no apparent reason. ( this is very frustrating , and expensive to fix! )
What's most practical about your car?
Good miles to the gallon , for such a nippy engine.
