Value
Good value for money. Got an auto with 1 former keeper and 39k miles for approx' GBP500 more than a 3-door manual with 70k miles (average for the age).
Costs
DIY maintenance is the easiest thing on earth. Oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs and contact point, all take just about an hour to change on the road-side. (I do not have a garage).

On the road
Driving
Driving is a bit rewarding, keeping in mind the small engine size. 5 adults would give it a hard time!
Performance
Automatics are about 30kg heavier than the Colette models. Hence, quite sluggish. However, you do get an occasional wheel-spin!

Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable. In 5 years, only the distributor needed to be changed. And this was becuase I had been driving it at over 100 miles per hour. Strange, but true!

Not too impressive. A bit of decorating does improve the image.
Comfort
Not very comfortable. However, the post-1993 (bubble) models are excellent in comfort.

Haven't tested it, although I have fitted remote central locking and alarm for added safety.
