    I'm a practical, no-nonsense kind of person.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think I need to get a "real" car now.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, I have outgrown it and need something with a little more power for my dailly commute.

What are you likely to buy next?

BMW 3 Series, Volvo S40 or Audi A4.

When did you buy the car?

    June 2004

Did you get a good deal and why?

It seemed like a good deal compared to the other models on offer. Had only 33000 miles on the clock and pretty clean - did not seem to have been abused by previous owners.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Cheap, was a low mileage example and a clean car with all the old MOTs.

    What was the dealer like?

Dealer was friendly - threw in 6 months of tax and took the dashboard apart to get rid of a dead spider too.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Comfortable around town, a little strained on the highway but can still cruise at 75mph for long periods of time. Not a car for impressing the girls.

    What's it like to park?

Extremely easy, no blind spots. Large windows all round, plus low door sills make it easy to see.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Needed a CV joint changed, but that was due to my ignorance. I didn't check the boot and water eventually seeped in and the grease leaked out. Cost £50 to repair and till date has been the only thing I have needed repairing (apart from bulbs, tyres, brake pads, oil etc.).

What's most practical about your car?

Lots of low-end torque, small size, large windows - make it easy to park. Extremely fuel efficient - still averages over 40mpg.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    The absence of them!
