What does this car say about you?

    Make your own judgment.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I do get a lot of stick having a Micra but I can always take it with a knowing smirk knowing that it is without a doubt a brilliant car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

If ever I needed a cheap run around again, without a doubt I would buy another Micra.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'm looking to buy another escort at the moment. I've owned one before but had to get rid of it due to a transmission failure and have always wanted another one since. I have never been keen on small cars either and prefer bigger ones. The reason I got the Micra was because I couldn't afford anything else at the time, but it has been a great experience to own one.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £700

When did you buy the car?

    November 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

Paid £700 with it only having 42,000 miles on the clock, with full service history and all previous receipts for all work done on the car, even had receipts for minor work.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a cheap car that was cheap to buy and run.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Brilliant! It never fails to amaze me how much this very understated car drives. Although it's only a 1.0 the car pulls very nicely in 1st and 2nd gears it's only when you try to accelerate faster than 50mph that you begin to notice the lack of power

    What's it like to park?

I don't think I've ever parked something as easily as you can park this. Even with the lack of power steering it's a doddle.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not a thing! The only thing this car has cost me after buying is for tires, tax, MOTs and obviously petrol, but it doesn't use much of that anyway.

What's most practical about your car?

For what is a very small car it is surprisingly roomy inside and the fairly sized boot is what I find most practical

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Not many accessories or gadgets on the car its just basically 4 seats and a steering wheel. However I was fairly surprised you can turn the heater on recirculate air, something which many cars this age and size don't have.
