Value
Got car for £1300 at average milage 83,000 for 1994.
Costs
30-35mpg if driven hard. 50mpg if you take it easy. It costs about 25 quid to fill up and lasts over 300miles.

On the road
Driving
Excellent handling. Cornering great but lots of understeer. Never let off throttle mid-bend otherwise you will suffer consequences! Quite nippy 75BHP. Exact spec as 106 XS without sporty bits.
Performance
0-60mph in 12 sec. Not lightening, but I think it's adaquate. Very long gear ratios. 2nd gets you to around 50mph. Quiet engine, excellent handling.

Living with it
Reliability
Head-gasket failure, fan switch (caused over-heating), starter motor needed replacement, idles irratically, speedo linkage needed replacement.

Looks very sporty. Colour coded everything apart from mirrors. Looks low, I like the front valance. Looks mean from the front and sides.
Comfort
Semi-bucket seats in 1.4i. The pedals make it seem like your body is always pointing left. They are very tightly placed, but you get used to it quickly.

I fitted my own immobiliser and gear lock. Alarm as standard. Remote central locking.
