In their own words

These diesel 205s go on forever if you look after them - I sold my previous one with 250,000 miles on the clock, with an MOT and still running well. They are solid cars with a comfortable driving position, comfortable seats, easily visible dashboard instruments, smooth to drive and they corner nicely too. Great vision all round for parking. The only thing to look out for is a small lead under the bonnet at the front, which can become a little corroded around the spade clip occasionally - when the connection eventually furs up the car won't start, and it's as if the battery's dead when it isn't. Other than that, it's a great small hatchback that looks good, cruises happily on motorways, handles well in snow and ice too and can carry a decent load in the back when the seats are folded down.
