What does this car say about you?

i have no kids, i like nice sports cars, i have taste in cars. i hope thats what it says anyway, probably says im a bit flash, but im quite the opposite really, i even made sure i brought a dark blue coloured one, with the black interior. although i do like the red leather interior with the silver exterior!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

they love it. my dad keeps thinking of excuses to drive it.... remember all those years that your dad didnt let you drive his car!!! also it's getting increasing harder to get a pay rise when you turn up for work in a boxster. even though i only paid £6500 for it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

most deffinatly, i am already saving for the face lift model, its just simply the best car i have driven, by quite some distance. you dont even have to drive fast for you to enjoy the ride

What are you likely to buy next?

now i finally own a porsche, its going to be hard to turn back so would like a any porsche really, 911 or a cayman. but i still like the Z4 coupe, if i have kids in the next few years i would like to have the 911 becasue it sort of has back seats! but the kids wouldnt be allowed to grow to much!

unfortunatly the guy i brough the car from had lost his job so i got it probably £2000 cheaper than it should have been, but i would, but i would have paid any where between £7000 to £9000 the other sellers where asking for the same model.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

its a porsche, anyone who is into their cars would one day want to own a porsche, i'm no different ever since i was about 10 when my unlce had a 1989 porsche 911 i have wanted a porsche.

    What's it like to drive?

awesome, i was well pleased with my Z3, but the boxster makes the Z3 feel sluggish and unresposive, the boxster feels like its glued to the road, it does exactly what you want, the faster you drive the better the car drives. anyone that says if you want a fun roadster get a mx5. ignore them, save the money and get a boxster, you can pick them up for under £8k for a T reg or below if you shop around enough and are prepaired to travel the country for it. This my third roadster/sports coupe type car, and by far the best. my only gripe is you need another gear on a motorway journey, but they have fixed this with the 2.7 onwards model i think, around town its actuall pretty nimble for the type of car it is. my girlfriend has just had the new golf gti and the boxster is no harder to drive

    What's it like to park?

pretty straight forward, excuse the pun! my last 2 cars have been a Z3 and a TT, this is wider and the back is longer than what have been used to but fairly easy really after a couple of times. . If your in a city centre or similar, try to park where there is good security, there are alot of jelousy stories about people keying cars of this type. i live in birmingham and find the mail box is the best and most secure parking in town. The only trouble i have is the boxster is pretty wide for an affordable sports convertable and on my drive, my 2 neighbours have quite tall fences and are only 7 feet apart, so i have to fold my wing mirror in to squeeze through, but thats not the cars problem, it my stupid neighbours.

Have you had any problems with the car?

only had it 2 weeks or so, so i cant really say yet.

What's most practical about your car?

its acutally better than i expected, i used to have a Z3 which had a tiny boot space, but the boxster has actually got 2 decent sized boots. its a powerful sports car than can be used every day. its not one of those cars that you can only drive twice a year when its sunny.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

probably the Zeintec hardtop, if your not familiar with this type of hard top, its basically a hard top that is styled to make your boxster look like a cayman, if i drove passed with this roof on you would think, "there goes a porsche cayman" you only really spot the different up close. if you have a boxster and looking for a hard top for the winter its worth looking them up on internet, they are pricey though, mine was a slight faulty bargain, (although i am still looking for the fault) and it cost £2500 including shipping from USA
