Servicing and parts can be very expensive

Suspension is a bit hard, but overall handles really well.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

DTi pumps out around 100horses. Good around town and on rural roads. Motorway's are not too bad - struggles over 90mph.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Engine is built like a tank, shame the rest isn't. 155k on the clock and the engines got loads more left in it, not so sure about the body and suspension. 155k on the clock and still going!

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Nice looking car - especially in black with Renault alloys. Dated well.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seats are reasonable - Lancashire to Kent was a comfy ride.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

30sec timeout on immobiliser can be inconvenient, but stops people nicking it! (not that anyone would want to)

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

Sunwin Renault in Preston were unbelievably appalling! Costs through the roof, and no hint of customer service. Represent their own pockets and not Renault. Keep to you local garage.

    Problems

    Engine

Replaced oil pressure sensor - £20 5min DIY job. 2nd Turbo at 100k.

    Other

Renault battery leaked under dash causing erosion - waiting for the bill to repair engine bay erosion (lots of welding). Broken door lock to rear passenger door - door won't open now. Fractured anti roll bar to passenger front.
