    Value

    3 out of 5 3.0

Well equipped and a quality product with leather, dual climate, C.D autochanger, parking sensors and Sat Nav. Bought from a dealer and was an ex-staff car at HQ for an excellent price.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Good economy (24mpg in London 33-35 MPG on motorway) and servicing wasn't as costly as my old 9-5.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Keen handling with a good ride quality. Passive rear steer really works when winding the car up. Very stable with excellent brakes and a short throw gearbox.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Low down grunt is excellent and gives good acceleration. Light pressure turbo means there is no lag, but it also means there is no point in revivng it to hard

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

So far nothing has gone wrong.

Always a leftfield choice, but people always say they like Saabs. The interior build could be better after my old 9-5 comparing it with a friends Mercedes.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Excellent seats upfront with the best driving position easy to find and excellent ergonomics. Long drives to France are not a chore. Rear occupants are not so well served. Massive boot.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    5 out of 5 5.0

Alarm, immobiliser and dead locks plus 5 star N-Cap rating

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Saab Fulham and City are excellent.
