This is our 4th Saab, 2 aero estates and 2 aero convertibles. Would definitely recommend a Saab to anyone but avoid a diesel unless you’re doing at least 12000 miles a year as the various filters get clogged and require replacement frequently. Personal preference is a manual gearbox but later autos have paddle shifts. The V6 versions are a bit heavy on mpg Check the convertible hood operation and check for hydraulic piston leaks in hood and boot linkage Built with Swedish weather in mind so no rust and excellent build quality. Despite various rumours, there’s no problem sourcing parts and plenty of Saab trained mechanics still in the industry.
