Great UK price: £10,995 (2/03) with 3 year manufacturer warranty (£2k less if bought in Spain and driven back, but only 1 year warranty given).
Costs
Only SEAT inspection service required annually (£50) and full service when at £20k miles (£200). Must do this to keep warranty valid.

On the road
Driving
Really holds the road well. Love 'throwing' it round a roundabout and right turns! You can feel the bumps in the road, though on the HARD front seats!
Performance
100bhp provides fast acceleration when needed.

Living with it
Reliability
Lots of electonic and electrical faults in first year of use: ABS, TCS, air con, central locking fuses, fog lights and engine management completly failed once and AA had to lift and take car into SEAT.

Comfort
Not very comfy in front or back. Hard seats mean you feel every bump and pothole!

Bloody fantastic: deadlocks, alarm, immobiliser, alloy locks and ignition freewheeling, with randomised new key codes at every use.
