What does this car say about you?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Would you buy this car again and why?

Never. Due to the amount of problems I have had with my Ibiza has be into the garage 9 times, most of which I have had a courtesy car and they have all had individual faults as well as the same faults as mine (pull to the left, grinding brakes). Not only have the cars been poor but the customer service has been worse. The dealership have taken no responsibility for any fault and have treated me like a liar. On occasions where I have met with the dealership principal, I have been told I have “convinced myself there is a fault when there isn’t”. When going to SEAT Customer Care I have been treated just as bad. Customer care is non existent with SEAT and God help anyone who has a fault as they will be told otherwise. I will never purchase another SEAT for as long as I live.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Anything that isn't a SEAT.

When did you buy the car?

    September 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

I bought it through the scrappage scheme so it was already a good deal but the dealer did give me some of the extras FOC.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I picked this car for the enginge performance, the extras that were available and the look of it, it's a great looking car!

    What was the dealer like?

Initially they were very good, calling when they said they would, responding back quickly etc, but I did find that once I'd signed on the dotted line the customer service did drop off the radar

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

It has the potential to be a great car, unfortunately the particular one I purchased isn't. It has a severe pull to the left which makes driving long distances very difficult as to keep it in a straight line I have to pull the steering wheel down to the right slightly. The particular engine I have, 1.6 CR TDi is a great engine, responsive and nippy.

    What's it like to park?

Easy to park however reversing is a slight issue for me as I get a loud whistle / whine when I reverse. The cause of this is yet to be diagnosed.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I regret the day I bought it. I have had so many faults, in four months it went in nine times and was generally never fixed. I now have a very severe, safety critical fault with my power steering however the garage are refusing to look at it as they have "satisfied their curiosity" with looking at it. I am driving this car as it is my only means to get to work, but unfortunately I do not feel safe in it anymore.
