Other SEAT Leon (2005 - 2012) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

I am a Kool Kat - but the leasing company's reg plates give it away that I'm not!!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it. Compared to the Leon Reference, the small differences such as the air con, seperate controls for heating, the alloys and the front fog lights - make a difference. There is plenty room in both the front and back.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, maybe moving up to the FR model or if I get promoted - the Cupra

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

The driving is spot on. The handling is similar to a Focus Zetec I had recently. The turbo takes a while to kick in - but once at 60mph pulling onto a motorway, you can feel it as you put your foot down.

    What's it like to park?

The family member with the smaller engined reference had parking sensors installed. It makes a difference. Parking can be tricky.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    No.

What's most practical about your car?

I like the boot - plenty of space for what I need it for. The cruise control is handy too for steady motorway driving and going though 50mph roadworks etc. Even though it is a 1.9 litre engine - the road tax is cheaper than a family members 1.6 petrol leon reference. It is also in the same tax band as my girlfriends R-reg 1 litre Micra!!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

As I said, the cruise control is handy, the heated mirrors and windscreen are good too - especially in the cold weather we had. Saves a lot of de-icing and getting my hands cold!!
