In their own words

Went for the full fat TSI 20. LUX with panoramic sunroof option. Everything else is already included.
I love its versatility and capacity. My other car is a Porsche Carrera and my mates were expecting me to buy a German premium SUV but honestly this gives a solid drive (the 2.0) i dont have to worry about it getting stolen and its characteristics overall make sense in terms of value.
Its also far better looking than its nearest priced competitors from Skoda and VW. Only the Peugeot 2008 7 seater looks as good or better.
Best bit was in July 2020 when we managed a road trip to Spain from the UK with 2 adults upfront and 3 teenagers aged 16 in the back including a 6'2 lanky nephew. The best bit is that the boot managed to swallow 3x medium sized suitcases! (for the womenfolk) and 2x the standard carry on suitcases for me and the nephew! PLUS a large icebox for the 2000km journey and lots of other bits pilled on top like the beach gear.

I only dislike the engine sound at start-up and warm up..It can sound a bit coarse.

How reliable do you find the car?

Mechanically the car has been very sound. My only niggle is with the user experience bits...such as the issue that the voice activated telephone doesn't work for anyone's voice!

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Was expecting the rear seats and boot space to be more of a compromise but the reality is that in July 2020 we managed a road trip to Spain from the UK with 2 adults upfront and 3 teenagers aged 16 in the back including a 6'2 lanky nephew. The best bit is that the boot managed to swallow 3x medium sized suitcases! (for the womenfolk) and 2x the standard carry on suitcases for me and the nephew! PLUS a large icebox for the 2000km journey and lots of other bits pilled on top like the beach gear.
