A good all-round mid-size hatchback, with a massive boot. As a dog owner, I was going to get an estate before I saw the Toledo.

Dealer servicing costs are reasonable.

FUN, with good acceleration and excellent for long motorway journeys.

The 2-litre engine is plenty.

Never any breakdown whilst under way, save a puncture.

Looks dated now, but does look much better than the standard models with alloys and spoiler.

Modestly comfortable. Plenty of rear legroom.
