Other Skoda Fabia (2000 - 2007) models:

  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

I feel like giving my car this good review is a bad thing because I'm letting people know which will make them more sought after.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They liked it so much that my brother in law bought one, then in turn my sister bought one on the strength of that one. They are both as pleased with theirs.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely yes, its reliable, economical without losing spaciousness.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would love to buy another Skoda, but the newer ones seem tiny compared to mine. I will be looking for something that compares on economy with the Skoda, but a bit bigger.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £3,000

When did you buy the car?

    January 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, it was privately owned and the owner had been given a company car. The money was the amount I wanted to spend and it was low mileage and in perfect condition.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted a car with enough space that I could easily fit my pushbike into or a pram, but had good economy too.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Yes it's lovely to drive. No, it doesn't take off like a rocket, but where do you need or able to do those sorts of speeds, but it will fly if driven right. You feel quite safe in it.

    What's it like to park?

All-round visibility is good and it's a good size for parking. I don't have any problems at all.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes I love it. It does 60 to the gallon, is cheap to tax, group 2 insurance and does more on a long run, it's nice to drive and comfortable, the size is really good, I think its a better size than the new Skodas as they seem like mini cars to me. Finding a reasonable sized hatchback without going to an estate is surprisingly difficult.

What's most practical about your car?

Apart from previously mentioned, the seats drop forwards easily to increase the boot area, making it quick for putting objects in the back.
