There was a vat free offer and it was bought at the end of january so a good deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought it thinking it was a mix of fun speed and economy ..in some ways it was.

I always had to drive it with spare oil in the car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It was fun and easy to drive BUT There reality is that the 48 mpg average is in fact 35 mpg. whilst I know the manufacturers all lie on their figures this was driving it gently rather than thrashing it all. this was over a 12000 period. Even more crucial This engine despite being well received can be problematic. It burns oil like no other car in 30 years driving. The skoda figures lean to a litre per 1000 miles- I got no where near that! The hidden cost of oil usage even at 1 litre /1000 miles with synthetic oil at about £16 a go soon mounts up £192 a year at 12k a year! As far i can gather this engine is causing problems for VAG who may well be discontinuing it. I SOLD the car.
