Skoda Karoq review (2023)

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I’ve driven many Skodas and VW’s in my time so am familiar with what to expect. I have been let down by a dealer who isn’t interested in listening and solving problems. If their computer says the car is ok then that’s the end of it! What happened to real mechanics? On a long motorway journey, driven carefully, I can manage 44mpg, town is 32mpg. The automatic gearbox is not that smooth. It isn’t a patch on BMW’s. LED headlights, sat nav, heated seats and car play work well. This is a practical car that has so much potential, I’m sure there are better ones out there, maybe a decent dealer network would have solved the problems. Very disappointed I won’t be buying another.

How reliable do you find the car?

I really don’t know why I bother taking the car to Johnson’s Skoda Liverpool, formally Alex Laurie. They have never sorted the hunting idle or the air conditioning that never runs cold. IMO - Very disappointed in the car and dealership.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I expected it to work properly and not run poorly around town. The dashboard rattles and squeaks.
