Bought after extensive research-I thought. I failed to realise that the 1.6 diesel auto is a noted poor choice. Would have been the ideal vehicle if it hadn't developed so many irritating faults. Running well now at 53k miles now they've been corrected. Worth more to me now as a good second car while I take a look at more reliable manufacturers with longer warranty for a main motor.
How reliable do you find the car?
New clutch pack under warranty at about 16000miles. Out of action twice to fix the problem. Tensioner arm squeak should have been fixed under warranty but I only realised what it was after the 3 years was up. £500 fix included water pump at 4 years. Thumbwheel controls replaced last day of warranty. Real fight with Skoda to get that done.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
