In their own words

An amazing leap in build quality, specification and comfort in this Mild Hybrid Auto Estate. It’s smooth, a super easy drive and packed with tech. My last car was a 2015 Skoda Superb Estate - that was a great car but the Octavia Mk4 is a class above again. The performance from the 3 cylinder 1.0 electric assisted petrol engine is amazing for such a big car. I was concerned it would be gutless but it’s fine. A month or so in and mainly local journeys during lockdown. But so far so good. No snags, no issues, nothing substantial to grumble about. The adaptive cruise is amazing - following the car ahead at a safe distance all the way to a short stop then it restarts and pulls off with no input. The infotainment system is good - a little buggy. A few expected features not available yet. Navigation ok but needs software design lessons from Garmin. I can’t even start my destination with a postcode! Sigh! I absolutely love the thoughtful ‘clever ideas’ throughout the car - it’s an advanced and mature design. I hope it proves to be reliable - I have a 2 year lease. I anticipate having another. Next one will have all the tech options and I so wish I’d ordered the powered rear door with the foot sensor and the keyless entry. Well done Skoda - this car betters the Mk8 Golf Estate on spec and quality for much less money.
