Value
Better than a VW for less money.
Costs
Depreciation only average, but it really will exceed 60mpg on a long motorway trip.

Driving
Softish ride is great for motorways or rough roads. Easy controls. Rear visibility not great for reversing.
Performance
No complaints. Feels like much more than 90bhp and there is no turbo lag.

Reliability
A slightly temperamental electric window switch - that's all that has gone wrong in 4 years!

A more intelligent choice than a VW, and much more interesting than a Ford or Vauxhall. Forget the old jokes (and most of them were recycled Lada jokes anyway - old Skodas were never *that* bad).
Comfort
Do 300 mile trips a couple of times each year with no aches afterwards.

Deadlocks and immobiliser. Not really a theft magnet anyway.
Service
Some garages are more knowledgeable than others. Recommend Newbury Skoda if you're in that area.
