Bought second hand 16 months ago from the original owner. She was upset to be parting with it and didn’t even meet me; I felt quite sorry for her! Gorgeous car and a real bargain too. It replaced my ‘55 plate fabia vrs, which my brother got. Love this car so much- I also have a classic mini and didn’t think I could get so excited about a modern car! It’s nippy, great to drive, practical- we’ve had skis, chairs, luggage, mini greenhouses and all sorts in the back, which is enormous when you fold down the seats. Satnav and infotainment is great, although Skoda garage ended up having to update software when it stopped working the day they coded a key for me. I got 55mpg last time I went on a longish drive- and tax isn’t bad, and insurance wasn’t too much either. Overall I’m delighted with it, and I love the colour, that bright metallic blue....
How reliable do you find the car?
Apart from the big five year service, one wheel bearing went and I had to get a new washer pump. Considering the roads around here I’m happy that’s all it’s been!Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Watched my husband try to get out of the drive in his rear wheel drive Mercedes, then eventually I let him take my Skoda, which just sailed up it.... great on bumpy roads, snow and ice, cruising down the country.... I love it. We have a caravan so I’ll tow with it sometime I expect. I imaging that will be excellent as well.About their car
