Value
Show me something else that is as quick, will fit 4 adults and all their luggage, return 35mpg and only need servicing every 15-20K. Absolute bargain.
Costs
In 40K motoring only needed servicing.

On the road
Driving
Bit of body roll, but otherwise fine. Straight line performance is excellent, but good do with being a bit stiffer through the corners.
Performance
Engine is very flexible and has a superb reputation. If 180BHP isn't enough then 210-225 can be had very easily from a well established network of VAG tuners.

Excellent, no problems.

Those in the know would give it a 5, those who still live in the past would give it 1.
Comfort
Excellent driving position, especially over long distances. Rear could be a little bigger but the boot is huge.

Immobiliser is standard fit but no alarm. But hey, who nicks Skoda's!
