I'd probably buy a top of the range diesel version next time. I changed from a diesel to petrol, which wasn't a good idea. Apart from the petrol engine being extremely quiet (Rolls Royce quiet) it pulls briskly from standstill and overtaking is a breeze with the DSG gearbox. The ride is cossetting, the handling is neutral and comfort and space are hard to beat. Fantastic car except for the poor fuel economy at 39mpg combined.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I feel let down by the economy. The stated figures are incorrect (be warned), with very little urban use, mostly on quiet A roads and dual carriageway. Readings calculated between fill-ups were 10% lower than indicated on the car's computer, to make things worse. That's with me trying to take it easy and achieve 40mpg on the computer screen. Other than that, the 1.4 petrol engine and DSG automatic gearbox go well together and all other aspects of the car live up to my expectations.About their car
