Economy
Value
Servicing is pricey and every 7k, but it's a very cheap car to run apart from that.
Costs
Servicing expensive, but buy second hand with a good spec and it's a bit of a bargain.

On the road
Driving
A hoot to drive and being able to put the roof up no matter what speed you're doing is better than having to stop. It sticks like glue so you can really through it around.
Performance
It feel pretty quick, with the (great) sound from the engine and chirp of the turbo, which means you can really enjoy it with it loosing your license.

Living with it
Reliability
Yes it leaked a bit, but most soft tops do. It's normally sorted under warranty any way.

Can be a little head turner, but it's nice not to be in another box with wheels. I'd say the image is young and fun.
Comfort
It's a small car, but you get used to it. It's nice and cosy or nice and cool, seats very comfy though and hold you well.

Security
No alarm but an immobiliser and you can lock it in reverse.
Service
Smart service is poor, you always have to chase them. Lots of good independent dealers and servicers about. There is a large smart community already and they're mechanically pretty similar.
