What does this car say about you?

I've not really thought about it... it would be interesting to see what the neighbours think!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

people speak much more favourably after they've been in it. My wife had seen them driving around and wasn't overjoyed when I took her to the garage to have a look. However, once she'd seen it in front of her and then sat in it she was a bit easier to sway. Now she's been in it a lot she really likes it. People who speak unfavourably about them have probably never experienced how much fun they are.

Would you buy this car again and why?

depends on the circumstances. I intend to keep for a long time and by the time I change my needs may also have changed.

What are you likely to buy next?

the next purchase will be a car to replace our current corsa. I like the kia cee'd so maybe we'll go for that.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £6,300

When did you buy the car?

    February 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

25k on the clock on a years warranty seemed to make it a good deal.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I had been after one for ages. Owned a MK1 MR2 Tbar in 2005 and loved the open feel. Decided that when the time came and I could afford another car I would get a roadster.

    What was the dealer like?

Nice to deal with. Swinton Perrys - a franchise but delivered with a local garage feel.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

the best way to describe what its like to drive is that its fun! It feels fast, accelerates responsively, handles really well and i can't help grinning when i'm in it.

    What's it like to park?

not really had any problems at all yet. the rear visibility is certainly worse than in other cars but if you're careful then there's no problems. I have the manual wing mirrors which means I can't simply raise and lower the mirrors to view the back wheels like I do in my other car if I am reversing through a gap etc.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

    touch wood nothing yet.

What's most practical about your car?

the coupe boot. The notchback normal roadser version just didn't have the space to make it anywhere near functional enough for the better half to approve the purchase.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The car has the sports pack so comes with heated seats, the extra 'pods', the impressive looking spikeline wheels and the paddle shift gear change. My favourite thing about the car though has to be the hard top. I've not seen many coupe's with hard top and it's fantastic.
