What does this car say about you?

To people who don't know - a Dad. Those who notice the scoop - a Dad who hasn't grown up.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all like it and comment on it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

    God yes. I love it!

What are you likely to buy next?

Hopefully a Forester but possibly a Shogun/Discovery. My family is growing too fast :(.

    £2,500

    May 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

    It was OK.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

On holiday, my Freelander broke and there weren't any reasonably priced Shoguns available...

Bit of a cowboy but friendly enough.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Lovely. It's an absolute joy to drive. But it's not a sports car so don't drive it like one.

    What's it like to park?

Great visibility but misleading in length. I always get out and realise the gap I've left is at least twice as big as I'd thought... I'm probably over-cautious because the bumper sticks out so much.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

The radiator died of old age and corrosion about a year ago and the exhaust needs replacing (expensive) but it's never let me down or even come close.

What's most practical about your car?

Reasonable interior space, you can drive it anywhere and it's comfortable.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Plenty of cigarette lighter points for charging phones etc, numerous cubby/storage holes everywhere and that great big sunroof is ace.
