In their own words

It's not the quickest, and probably not the best looking, but for that confidence that you can cope with anything the road (or, on occasion, the rough) can throw at you the Outback can't be beaten. Extremely comfortable on long journeys, plenty of space and with the Eyesight system just the right amount of electronics to make driving relaxing. I know it's for emission rules, but it's a pity that Subaru don't put proper tyres on it rather than ordinary summer ones. The infotainment isn't the most up to date but it does it's job well enough and I've found the satnav accurate and easy to use. Handling is ok as long as you don't try to throw it around too vigorously, but having said that I found my previous Outback improved remarkably when I put CrossClimate tyres on it - it just hung on regardless. For a spacious, practical, very usable car I don't think there are many to beat it.
