What does this car say about you?

Not sure on that one, it depends I suppose, I think a few years ago some might have thought it odd for a middle aged man in a suit to be driving around in this type of car, but times have changed with environmental concerns and petrol prices, so it is now far more common for economical small cars to be used for commuting. If I go to see a client however, I tend to use my other car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it, although I have two older teenage boys, and it gets a few smiles when the four of us all pile into it. .

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I have had it for just over three years and have clocked up 80,000 miles. The car does everything I ask of it well, it is reliable, economical and relatively comfortable with no aches or pains after long journeys.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not sure at present as a commuting car, as I hope not to have to change it for a while, but another Aygo is a distinct possibility. A friend had an IQ which for just two people may be more comfortable but given the mileage I do, the small petrol tank could be irksome and involve too many trips to the petrol station.

    What's it like to drive?

It's a fun car to drive, handles well and enjoys cornering. It is surprisingly nippy, although careful accelerator control can be necessary with the semi-auto gearbox when pulling away. My commute is about 100 miles a day, on A roads, B roads and lanes and the car handles them all well. I have also driven long distances in her both on Motorways and A roads, and not found it tiring or uncomfortable. . .

    What's it like to park?

Very easy, Good all round vision and can be squeezed into small spaces which drivers of larger cars can only look at with envy!

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only the semi automatic clutch. It also has to go back for the throttle modification. Otherwise highly reliable andf has now done 80,000 miles. I have also never quite managed to get the bluetooth to work.

What's most practical about your car?

Size and economy. For it's size, it is good for four people without luggage, and good for two with luggage.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It's an Aygo! but air conditioned, internally adjustable mirrors and general spec are good for this type of car.
