What does this car say about you?

Unpretentious, practical, no fuss, does its job, efficiently.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like it. Our son has our old Yaris and our daughter has an old Corolla and it was her who introduced us to Toyota in the first place.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Certainly. It does everything I need and, as I said, the dealer is first class.

What are you likely to buy next?

Well. I really fancy the GT86 but I'm resisting the temptation to blow my savings on it.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £6,250

When did you buy the car?

    June 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think so. I'm not a big haggler. I like the dealer and we've had a lot of Toyotas so I was happy with the deal.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

No. I fancied the new Fiat 500, but you couldn't get one right away and the dealer wasn't very enthusiastic so I went back to my usual Toyota dealer (we have a Yaris as well) and they persuaded me to get an Aygo. Haven't regretted it.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer is the best I've ever used. Immaculate service which makes them worth staying with. To me the dealer service is more important than the car. Modern cars today are all pretty good so the deal swinger falls on the quality of the dealer.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very easy to drive, as are all Toyotas. I don't drive it on motorways as we have the Yaris, but I wouldn't have a problem doing so if we didn't have another car. I has 5 gears so it's not too noisy at 70 and feels quite comfortable. Living in Milton Keynes we don't have many hills so can't comment on its performance.

    What's it like to park?

Easy owing to its size. You can normally get in a space that other cars have to leave.

Have you had any problems with the car?

It's never let me down. It's had the odds wear and rear item, such as the water pump, but this was pointed out to me in advance. Vert cheap to run.

What's most practical about your car?

It's used as the general runabout about town with the Yaris use for longer trips. Most useful part is being able to drop the back seats down (third/two third split) to accommodate all sorts of stuff. Very easy to park, being quite short.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The Air-Con, without doubt. Indispensable in summer.
