In their own words

It's quite surprising to read the number of negative reviews on here for what is a great little car. I agree that some of the tech can be a bit intrusive, but it's easy to turn it off.
The car is generally just used by me for work. It pootles about very merrily and is absolutely fine at motorway speeds. I've owned cars with almost 4 x the power ... but you don't by an Aygo X for 0-60 times. It's brisk enough, pleasant to drive and consistently returns 55mpg+. I've nudged 65mpg+ on a long run.
Comfort is great (for a small car). I am 6' 4" and have no issues finding a driving position I am happy with - something I really struggled with in other small cars.
Definitely worth a place on your short list if you are in the market for a (relatively) cheap and cheerful runabout.
