Toyota Corolla Hatchback (2002 - 2006) 1.4 VVT-i Colour Collection 5d (05) Owner Review

This is quite possibly the most remarkable car I've ever owned. Purchased 6-years ago with a FSH / 88 thousand miles, and it has not given me one problem in the 6-years of ownership; not one. I change the oil myself every 7/8k and do minor servicing, of which is very straight-forward on this car. I owned the same year Honda Civic too within the 6-year period to date, and this was not as reliable as the Toyota - it has now gone due to head-gasket issues. I keep looking at newer cars on Autotrader but simply can't bring myself to waste money on a newer and, most likely, less-reliable car. Hoping to hold on to it for as long as possible. It is not a fast car but then it is only a 1.4vvit, but is adequate and rather fuel-efficient. Well done Toyota; perhaps the best period for reliability due to great mechanics and the simplicity of cars back then. Still looks quite fresh in the face-lift colour-collection guise.
