Other Toyota Corolla (2002 - 2009) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

At 19, my friends say the car is too big for someone of my age. I take this as a compliment as it is a big step up from my previous car, a Yaris.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

'Spacious' and 'Very nice' are comments often said about my car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely. I've had no problems whatsoever so far. There are forums to help you if your car does have any problems though.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Toyota Corolla T Sport Compressor.

  • Buying experience

    5 out of 5 5.0

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £1,350

When did you buy the car?

    May 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

Asked for £1,500 but accepted £1,350 instantly - Only 71,000 miles on the clock as well, seen the same age and miles on the same car for hundreds more than the asking price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted a faster and more modern car than a '02 Yaris.

    What was the dealer like?

Very kind - He was moving to Australia so he was selling all his belongings to fund his trip.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

It feels a bit 'chunky', it is hard to explain it better than that without saying the wrong things and sounding completely off-putting. I have read from Corolla forums that the driving experience is increased if you get the car lowered (e.g.- Apex 40mm).

    What's it like to park?

Very easy. In the dark it is harder because of not having a very bright reversing light, but I have put after-market 'Lexus style' lights which are a lot brighter making it very easy.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    N/a

What's most practical about your car?

The space. All of my friends and family are very appreciative of the space they have in both the back and front (with a full car).

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The built-in talking satnav. Although I haven't paid for the service, I have been fascinated by it's voice recognition service and the ability for my car to ring up the call centre.
