Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

Hi Guys, I'm writing this review in thanks to all the owner drivers who have taken time out to add to the pool of hard won knowledge I have benefited from over the years on numerous occasions prior to my buying my next car. Back to the MR2 Roadster, this is my 2nd and they would appear to be amazingly reliable vehicles. Just like my previous, my latest purchase came with virtually no service history other than some old MOT's and as all I had, had, to do in nearly 3 years of ownership with my old car was: Sort out an oil leak on the drive shaft and replace the battery the lack of service history was not such a major concern as it would have been with other makes and models. In my experience they would appear to be bullet proof and never fail to start 1st time. My previous car had covered over a 100,000 miles and I never had to top up the engine oil between services the engine was a smooth as any I've ever driven and my latest purchase seems to be performing in the same manner. Buying tips: (1) keep an eye out for engine light staying on after start up: Lambada sensor (easily rectifiable) (2) Corrosion to rear calipers (3) Heavy corrosion to rear cross member. For further advice check out online enthusiast forums. In conclusion I love these cars they are great to drive, beautiful to look at and dirt cheap to run and don't seem suffer depreciation. To my mind that offsets all the down sides 2 seats and non existent luggage space.

How reliable do you find the car?

Required front pads & rear calipers sorting (caliper pins greased & rear pads filed up & re seated). Present hood waterproof but faded so paying out for a new hood September 2016.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

This is my 2nd MR2 Roadster loved my previous one but, my latest seems to be even crisper than my last even though it wont see 100k again. This says everything one needs to know about Toyota engineering.
