In their own words

Positives: The 1.8 petrol CVT auto is beautifully smooth and easy to drive. Build quality is high and Toyota reliability gives peace of mind. Light steering wheel so very easy to park and manoeuvre around town. Three full sized seats across the back so can fit 3 kids car seats. Two additional pop up seats in the boot are very easy to deploy and are handy if giving lifts to more children (too cramped for adults though!). My wife and kids adore the car. Negatives: Mine is 2011 version so no touchscreen which makes Bluetooth connecting to iphone a bit complicated and fiddly. It would have been nice to have a digital speedo as well as analogue. While the petrol version is super smooth, the car only returns 31 MPG, which isn’t surprising given the size of the vehicle, but if you’re going to be doing more than 10k miles a year you should consider the diesel. And although the Verso is a 7 seater, the rear two seats are only for children so if you’re wanting to carry 7 adults regularly you should look to a bigger models such as Ford Galaxy or Seat Alhambra. Overall though the Toyota Verso is a smart choice if you’re looking for stylish, practical and above all reliable family transport.
