... no matter what you do to the gearstick or accelerator! And finally todays problem's in the order in which they occured while driving home: Radio switched off. Speedo, odometer, fuel guage and rev meter switched off. Windscreen wipers & indicators not working. Power steering & power assisted brakes not working. Headlights on despite the dial on the dashboard saying they're off. Boot won't open. Central locking not working. Now it won't start at all. Though amazingly, the headlights are still on as I write!! Got to go as the AA man says the car is in dire need of a trip to those eggheads at Vauxhall, its second home. So I'm off to waste another afternoon trying to organise a hire car.
