Not cheap but done properly. The car is not particularly easy to service without a ramp/specialist tools.

Engine
Slight rattle from cold. Disappears quickly. Car has done 70k miles. No other problems but the engine temp does seem slightly erratic and not particularly stable. Not cured by replacing the thermostat.
Other
New shocks all round at 55k really improved the ride. Steering alignment seems to need very regular check/adjustment. Back tyres wore unevenly making a droning noise from the back (probably down to faulty shocks).
